Same. I never heard of it before the movie, and only know it's a meme because of mentions here - i've never seen the original meme.

I can only hope that comment was sarcasm. The sneakers line was fantastic and a far better joke than the meme that clearly much of the audience, myself included, didn't recognize!

I figured there would come a time I was too old to get a reference. But judging by the comments, I am concluding it isn't yet that time, lol.
