Uh, they are a pretty tragic breed. IMO, the only breed that is worse is the English Bulldog. Both of those breeds need to be bred out of their current existence into something that is not purebred. It is cruel to keep breeding them as they are.

Honestly, I am all for people thinking they are ugly as fuck. Maybe if more people start to think so, they can have a chance to not be genetic abominations.

I think pugs are cute, and I STILL think they're tragic abominations whose very existence is an act of animal cruelty.
There need to be more laws against animal cruelty in breeding, imho.

I do find Pugs to be cute in their own way but I agree with your comment. Breed them out completely or breed a healthier variant that allowes both dog-types to live good lives.

Agreed. Pugs are cute, but every time I see one I can only think about how their breeding causes so many health problems and it's unnecessarily cruel to them.

French Bulldogs are pretty awful too. In fact brachycephalic breeds were a terrible idea in general....

Humans really have done the poor little things a terrible turn by breeding them with such extreme smoosh-faces that they can't even breathe or chew properly and have a decent chance of their eyeballs popping out, and if they're bred, then cross-breeding them out with dogs with less extreme features would be a kindness. That said, there's no need to be a dick about it.

What's dickish about saying a deformed looking dog breed shouldn't exist? I don't condone hurting animals, and it isn't pugs' fault they look the way they do. I just think breeding them should be outlawed. And I truly don't understand why anyone would think something so deformed looking is cute.
