Plus, online streaming means that a lot of shows have in effect moved to the British model of making TV shows - make a limited handful of episodes, go away for a while, come back and make a bunch more - which I think is fine in its place but I think it's worse for developing that good ol' TV rhythm over time than the classic American 22-episode grind is.
