Deleted fanfics that you miss?

Went back to yet another old favorite fanfic of mine, yet again found out that it was deleted :( Every time this happens my heart breaks a little more. I've started to download everything now, but some things are gone before I get to them (one time a fic was deleted while I was halfway through reading it; that was a bad surprise)...and it always seems to be ones I especially liked (or else I just don't notice when it's not, which is also possible). Wayback machine is intermittently helpful. I did recover the entirety of my favorite fic of all time with it. But usually I get only the first few chapters or nothing at all.

Anyone have any old favorites that are now gone? Want to tell us about them? Or just commiserate? Heck, maybe one of us has read the same thing and downloaded it while it was still up. You never know!

Someone once wrote a hilarious jRPG crossover scriptfic about a bunch of characters in a bar, complaining about their respective worlds. Wish I could find it again. Of course, that was 20 years ago, and it's very likely that it isn't half as funny as I found it back then.

There was this super angsty Naruto fic. I looked through FFN but didn't manage to find it. Pretty sure it's deleted.

I’m always sad when an author I like pulls everything and vanishes. I’m still sad justrumbelledearie yanked all her stuff from Ao3 and ff.net. Some of it’s still linked on her inactive tumblr, but not all—and the links to stuff I never got to read feel like they’re taunting me. I need to sign up for Ao3 so I can read and download some of the stuff that’s only viewable by logged-in users. There’s some authors I wanted to read and never got around to, only to find they’d taken everything down.

My favorite fanfic of all time was deleted. Luckily, someone sent me a saved copy, so now I can save it forever, but that time period where it was unavailable online was upsetting, thinking I'd never get to read it again.

It's the fanfic Henry Spencer, Matchmaker.

The author purged & deleted their LJ years ago. Sadly, they had another Shassie fic about one of Shawn's ex-lovers being investigated as a suspect, leading Lassie to question their relationship, but I can't remember the title, so asking if anyone saved it is impossible.

Also, not fic, but my favorite fic author deleted her tumblr. Her fic's all still up @ AO3 & ffn (thank God), but I miss being able to send her anon messages & ask how she's doing.

I'm an author who deleted (most of) their fic. The main reasons were A., I thought if anyone wanted a copy they'd downloaded it already because it was online for literal years, and B., the LJ comms I posted the fic to were flocked, modded comms...until they were abandoned.

Wolf Whistle. The author never finished it, but at least I saved all the complete chapters.

I feel you, anon. Most of the fics I've searched for were only on ff.net, so I'm usually out of luck. I've gotten to the point where if I start to read it, I download it.
