IA. Seems like a writing problem to me.

I like the writing personally. At least in terms of plot. I really enjoyed the first three episodes. I wasn't entirely sure about the new companions until Rosa, but now I'm all in.

The plots have been fine, but the characterization work has seemed perfunctory.

I think they've been focusing more on characterizing 13, which makes sense and is working. And we finally got some good characterization of the companions in Rosa I think.

I'm watching for Thirteen as well and hoping her companions will come into their own.

I had no problems with the cast change, but the first episode bored the **** out of me. So I haven't been back for the second one yet.

I love Thirteen and Ryan. The other two, meh. Hopefully they'll grow on me. I want to see what Whittaker does with some really meaty storytelling since she gives good drama.

Out of the three companions, I'm liking Ryan the best too.

the same. A lot of people seem to like Graham best, but Ryan is my favorite so far.

Thirteen makes me feel like I’m back with Nine and Ten and I honestly love her for that, but she also feels like she’s going to be epic as her own Doctor, so I’m definitely mostly watching for Jodie so far. I’m not sold on the new companions yet (I’m kinda meh about them t b h, and Grace dying in episode 1 was such a cop out)

I feel bad saying this because I feel it is the way she's been directed, but she seems like she's doing a bad impression of the tenth and eleventh doctor... I don't hate her for it, but with every scene all I see is the producers desperately trying to regain what viewers they've lost...

The companions on the other hand, I basically hate all of them but the Grandfather... The cop is okay, but she doesn't seem to reflect the role she's almost been given... I won't even get started on the rest;;

All in all, the doctor seems fine- so long as she does something to define her as something unique to herself...
