Halloween Music

Thread to post your favorite Halloween songs! Give me something to jam to this weekend!

(This is also an excuse to ask the few others around here that still listen to My Chemical Romance if they have thoughts on Gerard Way's new song, "Baby You're a Haunted House.")

MCR fan here! I liked Gerard's new song, but in a "background music" kind of way. The video was fun.

OP - Same. It was stuck in my head for a while but I have yet to actually re-listen to it.

Halloween movie theme, Saw movie theme, Monster Mash, Thriller, This is Halloween, Hells Bells, Sympathy for the Devil, Halloween (Aqua song), The Number of the Beast, Living Dead Girl, A Touch of Evil, He Who Bring the Night (Immediate Music piece), Hall of the Mountain King.

That's all I remember right now. But I've got a whole playlist.

OP - I've never heard of the Aqua song or the Immediate Music piece, but I like both of those things so I'm off to check those out, thanks!

Crap. Got them mixed up. He Who Brings the Night is Two Steps from Hell, not Immediate Music.

I listened to it for the first time just a couple hours ago! It's cute and I liked it. :)

OP - Same! I'm always a little worried someday he'll release something I totally do not like, but today is not that day!

Haha, same. I was worried when Hesitant Alien came out but I liked it a lot.

For fun Halloween music, the Nightmare Before Christmas has some fun tracks. Also, Thriller by Michael Jackson.

Did you want horror music? I got a huge list.

OP - What kind of horror music are we talkin'? Like murder ballads? Instrumental stuff? I'm intrigued.

So true. Me and my dad make a point of watching Stop Making Sense together every few years. Just a stunning combination of visuals and awesome music.

Jon Michael Jarre made an album called Zoolook that has some of the spookiest strange music ever.

(my favs for spooky are the first two tracks, "Ethnicolor" and "Diva." Laurie Anderson contributed the vocalizations.)
