104: You know, just because you don't get it doesn't mean there's nothing to get. People get an emotional kick out of shipping. It's not entirely rational so it's hard to explain, but, despite the butthurt and the wank and the ship wars, it's rewarding for those who do it. The fact that you don't find it rewarding will unfortunately make you a minority in most fandoms, but here's the thing: nobody else is obliged to change their behaviour or their pleasures in order to suit you. If you don't like what most other people like, you pretty much have to suck it up and deal, because you're not going to change their minds.

111: OMG SUBMACHINES SECRET! SOMEONE OTHER THAN ME HAS PLAYED SUBMACHINES! Holy crap those games kick my ass (because I am terrible at adventure games) but they are awesome. I hope some big game developer snaps Skutnik up and pays him wads of money to make games that'll reach a wide audience, because he totally deserves it.

OMG ME TOO!! i have to use WAY too many cheats and hints than i care to admit, but in the end it doesnt really matter - ive played them all so many times and i enjoy every one of them.

The only one where I don't need to use the walkthrough is The Loop. For some reason the puzzles in that one work the same way my brain expects them to work, so I have no trouble with them. And the ending freaked me out.

oh god, the last time i played that game was like 3 months ago, i should replay again.

I'm not asking anyone to change their opinions for me. By all means, continue to ship, if that's what makes you happy. I just don't find any pleasure or point in it.
