Have you even played 4th? It's honestly a lot of fun. Of course, this is coming from someone who's only played 3rd and 3.5, and let's not even discuss 2nd ed elitists. SHUT UP ABOUT YOUR THAC0 GUYS

I've played 4th, and I can't stand it. D8 So...much...book-flipping. And don't get me started on healing surges.

Yeah, most of my gripes are nitpicky but still...*shakes cane*

I agree the format's a little fucked up, but once you get into the flow of it, there's a LOT less page turning than some of my 3rd edition sessions.

I don't know. It's been over five sessions, and the entire group has just about had enough of 4th ed.

I play a cleric in a 4ED D&D game. It's been four sessions, and everyone loves it so far.

Most of us were never that much into editions 2-3.5, though, so maybe we just have less to unlearn?

This may explain the trend in our group as well. Only one of us is against it, and he's the one that's played D&D forever whereas the rest of us are relative newbies.

Oh yeah, we played a 3.5 game for about a year in a campaign setting before moving to fourth ed. I think most of the problem is that there's so much to learn and unlearn and stuff we don't agree with, that is just stops being fun. =/
