Halloween Plans

Halloween is not a tradition in my country, it has gained popularity in the past decade through culture osmosis but trick-or-treating is still not a thing and my city's mayor refuses to allow zombies walks. My favourite geeky bar has a classic horror movies night planned but the place'll be over-crowded as always, my favourite geeky tea salon has a mystery horror movie night planned but they won't tell in advance which movie they've picked, so I still don't know which one I'll pick or even if I'll go at all...
...I'll probably end up rewatching Over the Garden Wall all by myself.

I'll be asking my friends how it goes for them since it's their first halloween in America. I think they're going to dress up their dog. I want pictures.

My village had a festival this weekend with a maze, music, costume contest and fireworks. It was a lot of fun!

Trick or treating will be on Halloween and I will be out walking my dog. I may put his spider costume on him but the main reason to have him out is he likes being around people outside but gets anxious inside when there's lots of people/noise outside.

Carving lots of pumpkins, dressing up, and handing out candy. But first I have to clean at least the living room and kitchen of the front house that my childhood friend is hopefully moving out of in January—I’m a slob, but she’s worse, and I haven’t set foot up there since last Halloween; I live round the back. Also I need to change the porch light; the cover is rusted on but I’ve got a power drill/screwdriver, pb blaster, wd-40, and spite.

Work night for me, so probably chilling out with dinner and maybe Paranorman on DVD.

Just saw Hocus Pocus in the theater, and it's almost cringy 80s in spite of being made in 93.

I have been watching horror movies and yesterday was my neighborhood's annual Halloween party where they block off a chunk of the street and lots of people wear costumes and local businesses give out candy, so that was fun. Halloween proper I'm going to go out to my favorite cafe and go for a walk and just see what's going on because I refuse to stay home on Halloween.

We just finished a charity dress-up weekend at work. Was short notice for me so I basically just gothed it up with eyeliner/black lippy/stripey stockings that I already had. One guy said it really suited me and I should do it more often, lol.

Probably won't be partying on the night since it falls right before my payday. :( How about yourself?

I went to the Halloween party my brother and his gf threw on Friday. It was fun! Both my brothers and their gf/wife are nuts about Halloween, so the house was totally decorated, their costumes were awesome, and we even had a bonfire in a cauldron out back. It was great.

On the actual day, i shall be doing nothing, as we don't get trick or treaters. I'll light a candle for my ancestors and that will be all.

Stray cat anon update

And no response still from the owners, not even a “that’s not my cat,” and their phone’s off. I bought him a litter box and litter and if I don’t hear from the owners by Tuesday I’m taking him to my local (no kill) shelter. He can’t stay in my bathroom forever and my fuzzbeast is pissed at me for letting the intruder stay.

Dammit, why would they post a lost cat notice if they didn’t want their cat back? I don’t want a reward I just want them to come get their cat! And I’ve had six people look at the listing and my photos and say “yeah that’s the same cat.”
