I was expecting to like it more than I did. I've always loved his voice even if I wasn't all that into MCR. It just sounds so flat. :(

I feel the same way, OP. It seems as though he's having fun just doing his own thing and that makes me really happy (though I'll always miss MCR). It's cool that Mikey was able to contribute to the song.
