Welsh terriers, because they're unholy terrors, small enough that you can scoop them up to get them away from what they're being an unholy terror about, but big enough that you're not gonna break them doing it.

I think my boykin spaniel is the prettiest dog I've ever had, though. She's dumb as a brick, and has the personality of a two-year-old who loves all the toys and is very insistent on you also loving all the toys, but, heck, she is SO pretty.
