There was a theory about it possibly being gender-neutral since the prince in 'prince who was promised' turned out to be. I think the idea is that there could be a general translation issue with High Valyrian nowadays, and a lot more of the nouns could be gender-neutral than modern Westerosi translations allow for. That said, I know, it probably isn't that likely. Like I said, I was thinking more dark horse, outside chance with that one.

Has the show decreed who the "prince who was promised" actually is, or are there still just theories and multiple candidates?
