Re: Tacos - ¿Sí o no?

Sí. For fillings I usually go for beef or chorizo since we rarely eat that at home. I do eat taco bell but real tacos from real taquerias are a thousand times better.

My favorite movies are Okja (prepare your tissues), The Little Prince (so sweet), Cargo (great zombie movie), 1922 (great horror movie), Calibre (fantastic thriller), and The Ritual (OMG THE MONSTER DESIGN).

My favorite series are The Haunting Of Hill House (such a damn good series), Stranger Things (a lot of fun), Santa Clarita Diet (woo comedy horror!), The Punisher (my fav of their Marvel series) and Queer Eye (so wholesome).

I would only go to Taco Bell if I were constipated.

I had to go to the middle of nowhere for a work thing and then make a long drive back. It was nice to get out for a bit, but the weather was pretty shitty.

- Crowds/busy parties.
- Public transport.
- Being in public in general.
- Confrontation. I'm terrible in an argument. I just crumple and stress-cry. I had a customer today who was so angry (due to her own mistake) I thought she might actually hit me. My hands didn't stop shaking for over an hour. I suck at being tough.

Who does?

Oooo How?

Same way you torrent anything else. People will rip from Netflix and post them around the web.

Isn't canned soup without added water really thick? The stuff looks pretty solid in the can. I always add the amount said to add to get the texture right and then dump half of it.

Yep! Apu's brother Sanjay and his family, which consist of himself, his daughter Pahusacheta, and his son Jamshed. There's also Kavi who's Apu's cousin.

Oh, Cookie...

I'll admit to a gleefull thrill at the baffled/crestfallen expressions of joggers I pass when they realize they're being passed by a tricyclist. Love it. Best part of the commute.

I sometimes get claustrophobia in very big crowds. Crawlspaces are out of the question.

Also, he was willing to sell an opened and expired package of ham for a discount price. Because of it, Homer ended up in the hospital. "Whoo-hoo, cheap meat!"

anybody's anger
especially having to deal with someone when I'm angry at them. It's just so nervewracking to try to communicate what the problem is without escalating or showing too much emotion.

TV where everyone is vocally over-emoting for emphasis, especially TV news.
News items about sexual assault or abuse.

I like your argument! I think it's the best way to put it. Thank you.

If I'm going to get tacos out, it's either going to be hipster tacos or a taqueria. Otherwise why bother?

Going somewhere new.
Going somewhere frequently enough where they know me and are judging me (in my head).
Cold calling.

I've read the last chapter and the problem is that it's really hard to be convinced that Alex is actually going to get better in any way. I know Burgess wanted to point out that he didn't even have the possibility of real reformation under the Ludivico treatment, but he is so thoroughly sociopathic through most of the book that all I can think is that he'll be less openly violent about his mistreatment of others.

(Anonymous) 2018-11-06 02:07 am (UTC)(link)
Wait but how does this solve the "no good way to get reviews" problem? It doesn't sound like the problem in the secret is not having Netflix, but rather not being able to know if stuff on Netflix is actually good or not.

Work, counseling session, fiddling with computer stuff, then Dr. Who.

As someone kind of ignorant to the whole process, why would you elect not to vote for that position if the guy (who is personally a douche, it seems like) aligns politically with your views?

(Anonymous) 2018-11-06 02:29 am (UTC)(link)
Except that’s not the point. The point isn’t about redemption. It’s about the want to change and outgrowing these violent youthful tendencies which is what Burgess was trying to convey through mentioning alex’s other friends growing up and the context of the time and era burgess wrote the book. Does Alex deserve redemption? Fuck no. He’s a sociopath through and through. But it’s not about deservingness. Its about growing up and the organic way we change. The theme is in the title: a clockwork orange.
