I remember telling one of my online friends how I wished I could visit my grandpa more often and she asked why I couldn't just drive to see him every other weekend since we both lived in California. She was pretty shocked to hear that we lived about seven hours away from each other despite being in the same state.

this Texas guy I'm online friends with was going to visit LA and I had to explain to him that he'd have to make a really long drive from there if he was gonna come see me in the bay area. I was all "it's like the difference between northern Texas and Mexico" and then he got it.
