First of all, agreed

I'm still kinda annoyed that they never showed Riker fucking male aliens or aliens that didn't fall into human binaries. If there's one thing I demand in my science fiction, it's accurate depictions of post-human pansexual panspecies sluttiness.

They had an episode where he meets an alien from a species that didn't do binary gender (and in fact thought it was weird, IIRC) but I don't remember how that played out and the aslien was played by an actress.

Yeah, The Outcast. IIRC Frakes wanted the part to be played by a man but the producers vetoed it.

Yeeeeeees I agree with this so much.

There's an entire episode where he falls in love with an alien who could be classified as trans or nonbinary (within the context of the alien society), and faces discrimination on her home planet because of it.

But who was still played by a (human) female actress.

I mean, Ryker had a Type from what I remember, which was conventionally beautiful human women or aliens who looked like conventionally beautiful human women.
