I love the show more than I could possibly say, but a lot of babies (and older people) die, and they deal with a number of other sad plots too. It's not "dark" but it does make me ugly cry a lot, and I don't know if that's what the OP is looking for.

I took the OP's secret to mean "dark" as: nothing happy at all, gloomy, all about death, gore, etc.
