What is everyone doing this weekend?

Tomorrow is my sister's baby shower. She had a bit of a medical scare today (had to go to ER) so hopefully tomorrow is relaxing to her! Sunday will be for cleaning up after the party. :)

Oh gosh! I hope everything is okay.

I'm probably going to be spending the weekend catching up on all the shows I've been meaning to watch! I downloaded TV Time because I'm a huge nerd who loves lists and being able to keep up with things like that. XD

She has a severe kidney infection PLUS Braxton Hicks contractions. She has been very unlucky.

What shows are you hoping to catch on?

Oh no! My niece was having severe gallbladder pains during the last little bit of her pregnancy and had to have the surgery almost back to back with the (premature) birth.

Castlevania, The Good Place, The Purge, and The Dragon Prince. It's a lot for a weekend but! I can do this. XD

Thankfully her gallbladder is already gone, so that is one part that won't be able to go wrong!

The Good Place is sooooooo good.

So the big question is... what are you baking for the shower???? Ha!

Seriously, though, sending you all good vibes.

I feel like I'm gearing up for one of those weekends I could either cross off a month's worth of stuff to do or... do absolutely nothing. It's gonna be one or the other.

I am baking NOTHING! Not wasting my baking skills on these fools. But we are doing Thanksgiving a week early, so I will be baking a cheesecake and bread rolls for my family. :P Thank you!

You should try to do a weekend of crossing off HALF a month's worth of stuff. That would be the best of both worlds. :D

Working. I will also be driving to work for the first time without supervision. Passed my drivers test last week and will be borrowing mom's car.

SA - I hope your sister is ok.

Good luck on the driving! I only got my license last year (at the old age of 28). It is still stressful but at least I can drive someplace if I need to.

Thanks! I'm 40 and because I passed the test before the date for mandatory lessons of driving in the dark I took mom with me tonight to train on that. Finding the way to turn off the high beam was super stressful.

Basically, last minute chores pre-surgery. Cleaning room, cleaning out my car, laundry, grocery shopping, buying cat food.

If I watch something, it will be Sabrina to finish the season. I've seen episodes 1-4 now.

Me. Having my hysterectomy on Tuesday. Will be on bedrest 4-6 weeks. So have to make sure everything is set now. Monday is going to be too busy to do any of this.

Congratulations and good luck on the surgery! May I ask if you're having an oopherectomy as well? 'Cause I had my ovaries taken out as well when I had my hysterectomy back in '14, and overall it's been one of the best things to ever happen to me. The only downside has been that it put me into early menopause, which for me involved the destruction of my heat tolerance and like 2 dozen hot flashes an hour ever since, but even though that all really sucks to deal with (especially here in Florida), I'd gladly take a permanent hot flash over the utterly horrific periods I used to have.

At any rate, I'll keep my fingers crossed for you to have a safe, quick and peaceful recovery. I hope your surgery solves all of the problems it's meant to and that your doctors give you the good pain pills during your recovery process.

Half an oopherectomy. Doctor wants to leave my right ovary in for now.

Pokemon Community Day on Saturday, foing to the farmers market after, trying to get some nice meat (it tastes so much better than supermarket meat i am so hooked and cant eat anything else anymore)

Sunday is for lazyness / household chores and catching up on stuff.
