nayrt - Eh, not really. It began with the author telling his two daughters stories about rabbits, but the novel isn't a children's novel and generally isn't marketed as such, either.

I was going to say, it appears in a lot of classrooms but I'd never heard of it as children's lit? The hassle of getting it published always sounded like people just didn't get this adult book about talking bunnies.
