Oh yes, and when someone mentioned that it was really stupid to do that, one of the writers was in that thread talking about "Well, maybe if people WERE complaining, it should have been shut down."

Even though A) there was just as much (if not, more) praise on the subreddit B) She was one of the people who was hypersensitve to criticism.

She is so well known for this that, my sister (who is only in this fandom via the Facebook group) recognized her from her acting the same way on FB.

Honestly, the worst part of the closing was the fact that there were tons of story searches, discussions, and even author AMAs that are just GONE.

So I'm confused. Do you mean they were the creators of the show/series/whatever? Or are you referring them to being the creators of the subreddit just not liking criticism? Because it also seems incredibly unprofessional for show creators to do that!

The media was created by someone (Director) who takes stories by various writers and narrates them. The subreddi twas created by the Director BUT he has not been active on it for a couple years. The person who closed the subreddit was a mod but I am not sure how he was involved with the podcast. I think he might have been one of the writers who regularly had their stories narrated.

The person who was saying it should have been closed was an author who has been regularly featured.

AYRT: OH. That explains it.

Very selfish and unprofessional, though.
