American Thanksgiving is in 10 days, and Christmas is just about a month and a half. Do you know what your plans are yet (for those or any other end of the year holidays you might celebrate)?

Well, we are doing Thanksgiving at my house next weekend. My sister is having her baby November 27th, so we decided to do it early. For Christmas, not sure yet.

you know, if you're going to have your birthday around a major holiday, Thanksgiving weekend might be the best conceivable one for it

Yup. Not just because FOOD, but Thanksgiving is always on a Thursday. Since most parties are on the weekend, we don't have to worry about her birthday actually being ON a holiday.

Yep! Nice 4-day weekend to celebrate, and it wins out over the summer holidays because it's guaranteed to be during the school year.

I'm spending Christmas at my dad's place. It'll be the first Thanksgiving in a while I've gotten to spend with family, so I'm excited.

Thanksgiving, lowkey with my parents - we're probably going to get a turkey and some stuff from a grocery store, I might fuck around and make stuffing and stuff.

Christmas, going across the country to spend it with the extended family. which should be nice.

I’ve only got two blood relatives left. If my aunt invites me, I’ll probably go to her family’s place for Thanksgiving and Christmas.

Not American, but I will be at my BFF's for Thanksgiving, so I'll be spending it with her mom and brother and his wife. FOOOOOOOD.

Christmas is with my family always, brother will be bringing his GF this year but she already has my stamp of approval so it's cool. Again, FOOOOOOD. XD

10 days? AHHHHH!

Actually, family is coming to visit (and will be staying in a hotel) and we will go out for Thanksgiving dinner. I just need to make the reservations, which I should do, but NBD. My only concern is that I do have to find something for us to do during the day, though. Last year we went to see Coco, but nothing like that will be out this year and the museums are closed.

My brother always comes to visit for Christmas, so will probably just be chilling with my dad and him. Both my dad and my partner's mum are always kind enough to invite me over, which results in me trying to squeeze in two huge dinners. They're both awesome cooks though. Hopefully will just be plenty of wine, Scrabble and no religion-based arguments like last year.

no thanksgiving where i live.

christmas: 24th maybe work (blargh i know i am going to get stuck with that half day shift bc i am one of the few who does not have husband and children; not like i didn't work last years christmas as well)

christmas dinner and gifts at my BFFs place on the 24th. 25th&26th is LAZYING AROUND, going for walks, eats and netflix probably. the only family i would want to spend christmas with died 2 years ago (my dad), and the rest of my family is either shitty or so removed that i do not bother with them. The nice (far away ones) get a card and self baked cookies. the rest can gdiaf
