So what you're telling me is that they're mad over a badly-timed advertising rollout.

That doesn't really make me more sympathetic to them, I gotta say

Not that anon, but if bigtime candy crush fans went to candycrushcon and were told the next iteration of candy crush was on, and only going to PC and were angry about that... that'd be understandable too.

Sure, they have computers. But maybe that's not what they want to play candy crush on.

The Diablo mobile game didn't mean that they weren't also going to make a true Diablo 4 for PC.

They did announce the games in the wrong order. It was a dumb PR move for Blizzard to announce the casual mobile game at the hardcore fanathon. But fucking up your PR isn't the same as actually doing something wrong.

it's not the wrong order, they haven't announced anything new diablo for pc at all

(Anonymous) 2018-11-13 08:26 am (UTC)(link)
You think they're not going to, at some point?

(Anonymous) 2018-11-13 02:27 pm (UTC)(link)
Not that anon, but okay:

If bigtime candy crush fans went to candycrushcon and were told the next iteration of candy crush was on, and only going to PC... and it's being designed in partnership with Tencent... and no news was announced at all about Candy Crush 2 on mobile which they can only assume is coming in some form, sometime, eventually, and it turns out the "Candy Crush news" they were told was coming had nothing to do with the game and platform they love enough to attend candycrushcon... then the hosts go "dont you have computers???"... and they were angry about that, that'd be understandable too.

Disappointed and annoyed, yes. Maybe disappointed and annoyed enough to stop paying money to go to glorified product launches, and realize that Blizzard is as untrustworthy and shitty as any other company.

But angry? Betrayed? Done Wrong? Absolutely not.

You and I wouldn't be, not for that particular product. But then, we're not the fans who love something, whether it's Diablo or Candy Crush, so much they'd go to a con for it.

And if you're arguing that "some people just shouldn't like things (that I don't like) so much," on a community for fans and fandom, I don't know what you're doing.
