You ever read a Redwall book?

Also at first I meant this is how many times he mentioned each food..."Wow, crab is in there 171 times".

There's a few book series that have exceptional attention to food and I am *starving* while reading them even if it's like.... talking about eggplant. Which I don't even like.

Some novels do this well in that they dedicate no more than a paragraph to food for the sake of setting the scene, and get to the plot... then in the back or at chapter breaks provide actual recipes for if you’re interested. Best of both worlds.

You should check out the GoT cook book!

It's got a 'traditional' version of a dish, and then how to make it using more modern ways.
