AYRT: Yeah. It's a shame that more people don't realize how great it is. I'm not even sure I'd call it a sitcom. It's lighter than a dramedy, but it's darker than most sitcoms, and very cerebral.

I put it in the same category as Parks and Rec. Not sure what that genre is.

I'd also say that sometimes things that are really great just the way they are don't have as big a fandom as something where there is more room for improvement and fix-it fics.

People love that show, even if they don't necessarily write fics for it

it even beat the Sopranos in Neil's TV poll no one knows what I'm talking about I look like a lunatic oh well

I'm not sure it's a case there being few people who realize it's a great show because... well, plenty of people are fans. It's probably more a case that most people like the show fulfills their needs as it is and there isn't the same drive to consume more outside of the canon. Some media is like that. It's not that it's perfect, it's just that fans don't feel the same need to fix it or pile on extra shippy material or whatever.

There is, we're just more into discussing the philosophy of the week and writing craft aspects than writing tons of fic.
