It is empty here, on Tumblr, AND the Reddit places I hang out in. Is something going on that I was not invited to???

FS posted late today so that has something to do w it.

Twitter seems pretty normal but apparently NYC is undergoing some sort of snow-related transit emergency and all of CA is still on fire and full of smoke so it might have seething to do with that, idk

Well, based on what I saw this weekend, I think a lot of people on here are in CA. I know at least 2 are.

NAYRT—I am but I’m way down south and although it’s pretty dry, nothing here’s *knock wood* on fire. The whole state needs rain. I can walk to the beach and the humidity’s still hitting single digits during the day.

CA has been on fire for pretty much this whole year.

Yes but only since 2014 or so.

It's the new normal. There's been a severe drought for years now and it's only getting worse: the Camp fire, the one currently burning in northern California, is now the deadliest, most destructive fire in CA history, surpassing the Mendocino Complex fire of July of this year. We should have had at least 2 or 3 major rainstorms by this time, we haven't had a trace of rain. I live in San Jose and the air quality was downgraded today to "very unhealthy", there's only one category left and it's "hazardous". No rain has been forecast. Schools are closed due to poor air quality. We are fucked. It's only getting worse!

In NYC and I can tell our public transport was NOT prepared. Even our mail wasn't picked up yesterday!

fire and snow are affecting the coasts of the Northern U.S. which happens to be where most people who are into fandom live.

No idea. I'm in surgery recovery mode and been on painkillers and sleeping most of the day. Can't speak for anyone else, though.
