I personally don't like them at all but I don't see where they represent a decline in geek culture.

Yes, that part of the secret was just weird to me. Reminds me of the current Star Wars fandom: them not liking something personally means the fandom is ruined forever.

I didn't like them either but they knew my weakness and now I have the Negaduck from Darkwing Duck one, and Brooklyn from Gargoyles one.
