It's actually a lot more varied than that, I just included some of his more well-known ones. He also wrote the screenplays for Chaplin, The Stepford Wives (1975), Marathon Man (plus the novel), Absolute Power, Maverick (1994) - yes, the one with Mel Gibson and Jodie Foster, Dreamcatcher and many others. He wasn't bound to genre.
