I've been really enjoying it so far, but I also was not keeping track of anything to do with this beforehand so I had no expectations. It's a cute cartoon with some fun characters, so yay.

AlliandoAlice/Alicewang1998/miadog12 is/was the storyboard artist in question. She's also a klance fan who got pissed about her ship getting BTFO. She faved a bunch of tweets where other klance fans were shitting all over Voltron and its crew, including one where someone advocated breaking Lauren Montgomery's hands at an upcoming con so that she could no longer write. She went on a mass deletion spree after getting called out but I'm sure there are caps floating around somewhere.

The stuff with the storyboard artist all went down months before the show even aired.

Most of the buzz from the usual tumblr anti crowd seems to be positive, from what I've seen, but we could always see them turn on the show if its gay rep (which is already impressive for a kids show, but could be better) doesn't get as explicit as they'd like. Well, either that, or the show's staff doesn't call out the shippers of whatever ship they deem the most "problematic" (Catradora, maybe, since it's big and popular, but another one could always pop up.)

Speaking of which, I've got a She-ra secret of my own to work on. Time to get to it!

I'm torn. It's a cute and unoffensive cartoon.

But that one storyboarder was an unprofessional shit and I think she should get hoisted on her own petard. Seriously, she should know better. People get fired for less. There are other storyboarders out there that can draw and be sane on the internet at the same time.
