Accents

What are your favorite accents to listen to? What's the sexiest accent? What's the most fun accent to talk in?

I love all British accents. Yes, all of them, not just posh RP or whatever. They're all interesting to listen to. I don't know if I find any one accent sexier than the others... it depends on the person talking, really.

I like German accents. I never try to speak in accents though, because I sound ridiculous.

The most fun accent to talk in is definitely Italian / Italian-American.

Best to listen to / sexiest are definitely northern England, Scotland, and Ireland. No doubt in my mind. I guarantee it. Also New England accents are pretty decent too.

I love British accents. I am not good at doing accents though. :(

I have the weirdest love for Icelandic accents. It's definitely my favorite to listen to.

Sexiest is Irish.

I always have to must fun when I break out the Midwest Farmer twang+dialect I picked up at college. It's not always intentional, but that makes it even better. It's best if I'm talking to one of my Kiwi relatives and we're both drunk, because then we have an equally hard time figuring out what the other is saying. It's good to be on equal footing.

British accents are the best to listen to. My parody-level attempts at RP are the best to speak those rare moments where I forget that I'm speaking to native speakers and don't instantly collapse into some horrible mess of my native language gone the GA I adapted through watching American TV.

All British ones. Australian ones. Spanish ones. Portugese ones. Actually, possibly all European ones. Also Hispanic ones.

Honestly, I think that because I grew up around American and Asian ones, I find most others sexy.

My friend is from Yorkshire and I could listen to him talk shit all day.

I don't know about sexiest.

The most fun to imitate is a New Zealand accent. I'm beached as bro!

I think Welsh accents can be incredibly adorable.

I love American accents, but that might be because my fiancé is from Chicago so I associate American accents with him. (I am also fond of a Southern drawl)

I like listening to pretty much all of them, but it really depends on who's speaking. There's some British accents I really like, and some that I think make the speaker sound like a total douchebag (or twat, I guess). For American accents, I really like Chicago and Philly accents for guys, and east coast accents for tough chicks (they sound like Rizzo from Grease <3).

I can't really do any accents but my own (which is still pathetically close to this even after two decades of practice).

Welsh makes me melt. Such a beautiful sound. I also find Japanese very soothing if it's not being yelled.

I love the New Zealand accent, it probably contends for the sexiest as well~!
But I gotta say, I am not the best at accents myself;;

A friend and I voiced a few different novels/manga/comics between ourselves for fun- with every new character we tried a new voice. My friend was pretty great at it, managing a different voice for mostly every character... I, on the other hand, not so much;;
If I had to choose my favourite accent to imitate- It'd have to be German. While I only know a little bit of the language myself, it really is the most fun to go for regardless.
