I haven't watched the episode in a while, but isn't the whole point of the episode that Manbearpig is made up and doesn't exist? And isn't Manbearpig an allegory for climate change?

Doesn't manbearpig eventually actually show up in one episode?

I'm clearly not the person to ask, since I barely remember the episode, but according to Wikipedia Manbearpig shows up again in an episode where they go to a land of imaginary creatures. So that's not great.

And then Manbearpig did show up again very recently, which is what the secret was about.

Imaginationland made the point of "just because it's imaginary doesn't mean it isn't real." So... interpret that as you will.
