I love all the anti-cop rhetoric here in the comments, when the reality is that when you need them, you'll be happy to have them.
Yes, there is systematic racism in the structure of the justice system of the US, just as there is here in Australia, particularly towards our Aboriginals.
But it is also unfair to label every cop as a terrible human being. The majority are good people who want to make a difference. Blame the system, not the individual.

Former cop here. I hope I'll never ever need my ex-colleagues. Because after what I've seen in my time on the force, I don't trust them any more, at all.
