109. You know... I just had the hilarious image of Rob Lucci sparkling. NOone would dare mock him or even ask him what he was doing, for they would be too afraid of him fingerbanging them to death. Also, annoying, loudmouthed and whiny Spandam and Bella is an unexpectedly close comparison.

115. If experience has taught me anything, it is that most cynics do good with a large, unflappable and slightly dumb friend at their side. It makes life just that much easier to bear, sometimes. I don't blame you for wanting one.

126. I had to watch that clip and I must admit: I laughed too. I even giggled at the Geico part.

136. It is a shame, because I think the Namekians are some of the most adorable and wonderful things in Dragonball as well. Especially Piccollo. Piccollo kicks ass. And is much better character than Vegeta and YES I am so biased and subjective in this it is not even funny.

147. Come on. It's the internet. It'll happen, and I think we should be expecting there to be crap if this causes a resurgence of Tintin's popularity, but you know? There will be good stuff too, and if we just look for it we only have to concern ourself with the good. I loved Tintin since I was a toddler but I know what the internet will bring. I am at a strange sort of peace with the fact.

159. Considering that seems to be the likeliest route they're taking, I'd say you're not too far off. Me, I have two endings. Both would be tremendously stupid, but I'm not in this for the smartness but the lulz: in one Nunnally magically comes back with the Geass she had in that Gaiden manga where she can see the future and is followed by a ghost that's the embodification of her repressed anger and hostility and she can now see the future, whereupon she proceeds to pilot a robot and fuck everyone's shit up... and the second is that at the ending, Lulu wakes up and goes to the breakfast table in his student-aparment he shares with his roomie Suzaku, who tells him his sister called him and Lulu goes "Yeah yeah bra but listen, before that I just gotta tell you about The most FUCKED UP dream I've ever had". Roll credits.

Oh yes: the second aliens of Dragon Ball have always been my faves since they are actually alien-looking, as opposed to the Sayans just having monkeytails. I would have loved to see more of them, but such is life.

147. I agree. Very strongly. It's going to happen. That, and we'll get more goodfic as well if it gets popular. If the films get popular, all it means is that Tintin will get more fans. Besides, most fandoms are doomed to have some crap in them, even small ones.

Agreed. There will always be bad with the good. Me, I just hope we get a lot of fic about the sidecharacters: Tintin himself is rather bland, but say, Proffessor Calculus revisiting his old school and solving a murder mystery? Tales retelling the many epic barfights captain Haddock has been involved with? Hell, even a shortfic about the Thompsons struggling with buearocracy, all that would be ace to read about.

Yeah, The Spandam = Bella thing was the thing that made the most sense to me when I thought of it.

Considering what a fine simile it is, I am not surprised. Then perhaps the Lucci=Edward connection comes from the fact that they both act totally wooden unless it is a subject they are the most passionate about. I swear that Lucci only makes a facial expression different from 'bored indifference' when he's killing shit, and I imagine Edward having a permanent pout unless he's with Bella so... it all kinda works out.

If that second ending happened, I would laugh so hard.

...and I think I need to go check out this gaiden manga.

And you know, at the rate this is going I wouldn't be surprised if they haven't at least CONSIDERED it because... considering all the other things that happen, WHY NOT THIS?
