105 OP (This is just what I can think of off the top of my head...)

-The whole afro/disco thing both franchises seem to have going on.
-Giroro bears more than a passing resemblance to the Red Pants Monkeys.
-Kururu is basically White Monkey, only yellow and way prettier.
-The general feel of both animes (Or what I saw of the AE anime, anyway) is very similar.
-There's a bossy redhead with two ponytails called Natsumi in BOTH 'verses. (In the japanese version of Ape Escape, Katie/Natalie is named Natsumi)
