I'd like to sincerely request you think about other people's feelings and, more importantly, their struggle not to be seen as 'unnatural' or 'broken' or 'less than' before you decide to voice an opinion like this again.

(Anonymous) 2008-08-24 05:03 am (UTC)(link)I'm disappointed that this is in fandom, which has always struck me as more or less open. :/ But then, I think now that I was a bit homophobic before I started reading slash, and definitely not accepting of myself, and that fandom helped me to change my views about myself and others, so maybe eventually, the OP will learn to accept us for what we are. Mind you, it took "Sex and the City" to make me realize that many women in fandom actually meant it when they said something was hot, so maybe it will never become real to the OP.
