Tonight, I am cleaning AAAAAAAAAAAAaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaall the things!
The dishes are done! The kitchen is done!
The laundry's in the machine!
The bathroom floor is imaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaculate and needs to dry before I put in (new, clean) floormats. *jazzhands*

Okay, but have you gotten the baseboards.

I'm STILL packing up flooded basement, and today has been emptying a display hutch of all sorts of fragile things and throwing odds and ends in a series of boxes labelled "random crap". It's become a lazy affair now that all the big stuff is taken care of and I'm left with... a lot of crap.

Basebords I had to look up - you learn something new every day. Apparently, I don't have them. I have a teeeeny tiny strip of molding but that's taken care of the in the regular sweep and never seems to need extra attention.

Wish you the best of luck and energy in finishing the project. Sounds like a huge unhappy problem to deal with.

It's two months in and I've taken to just staring into the middle distance. It wouldn't be so bad if Mom was even just five years younger, but at eighty she's not particularly useful at moving heavy things. XD So here I am stuck moving all of her and Dad's 60 years of accumulated crap around going, "grumblegrumble and you complain I have a lot of stuff rabblerabble".

I'm sorry you're stuck doing that.

The end is near! We get new carpet in Monday week!

....unfortunately that means I have to be done boxing things up within a week.

Would you believe this is the random crap left after the purge of other random crap? There's only so much I can get rid of without Mom breaking out into a low-key hoarder anxiety attack. But I've gotten about five carloads of things out to recycling, thrift stores, and the trash, so I consider it a win.

Still picking up roof tiles from the backyard...most of the services have been restored. Just have to break down the remainder of the fence and fix the ceiling in one of the rooms. My dad bought a small axe, can't wait to use it!

I did laundry yesterday and I even went to the laundromat which is cheaper than using the machines in my apartment building. (Also I had no quarters to use the machines here but it still counts.)

congrats on doin' laundry AND saving money AND making a trip through town! Go you!

The dryer just went off so at least my laundry is done now.

I'm going to straighten up the kitchen and bathroom a bit but nothing too extreme. I missed most of last week at work and although I had been feeling better, yesterday I started feeling worse, and missing any of this coming week is not an option so I need to feel as well as I possibly can by tomorrow morning.

Sounds rough - hope you're feeling better! Good on you for keeping things going while you're ill; hope work takes it easy on you.

Thank you! Unfortunately work is going to be crazy this week since I'm working long hours and have a bunch to catch up on but then I've got Thursday and Friday off for the holiday so that's nice! :D

I ALSO CLEANED.

Now only to carry the summer things into storage and the box-o-donation to the Salvation Army tomorrow. It feels great.

don't donate to the salvation army. they are hugely homo and transphobic and there are tons of better charities.

I actually wish I could clean. My closet needs to be cleaned. And I'm bored. And there are things in there I'd like access too. But I still can't bend over or lift things.
