Imagine Your Ideal Ship

If you could imagine a series designed from the ground up to have the perfect ship for you, what would the series be like and what would the ship be like?

Something with mystery/suspense, that's overall dark and disturbing but has slight comedy/satire moments, and some good music. Maybe a political intrigue/murder/conspiracy type thing, or just detectives/FBI agents tracking a serial killer or trying to find a missing person or something. Or maybe go the supernatural route with a haunted house or something, maybe combined with a serial killer? I don't know. Just something weird that would cause people to say "that's fucked up".

The ship would be two guys who are trying to fight their feelings for each other while also fighting bad guys/ghosts/whatever, before finally getting together at the end and living happily ever.

Basically anything disturbing and weird with murder, maybe ghosts, and gayness. lol

Substitute the two guys with two women and this would be the series for me.

Immortals who have been friends/allies/extremely close for millennia. Who know each other deeply and just have that bond that has become unbreakable. Don't care what their genders or roles are because this type of ship works for me however it happens. Maybe they are both heroes or both villains. But maybe one is the hero and one is the villain, and they have to fight their feelings for each other while fighting. Whatever. I'm just here for super strong, really long-lasting bonds.

Something with a bit of intrigue and adventure (nice visuals) and a continuing main plot that might not end at all well.

And the couple, or three-some, are rather low-key about their feelings, just lots of quiet wrist touches before going into crisis situations and very matter-of-fact "would die for you" moments.

Overt sexual moments optional; it's the emotional bond I'd eat up like chocolate dipped in chocolate.

I think Pushing Daisies already did it for me. I was going to say "childhood friends reunite after years of separation to solve a mystery," but like... that show had everything I liked. Candy colored scenery, gruesome murders, necromancy, dogs, pie-baking, talking about your emotions/problems. That was everything I wanted. \o/

Hmmm.

Two people who are both very smart and experienced and knowledgeable, and also sort of world-weary and deeply lonely and kinda closed off to the world in different ways, slowly come to trust each other and believe in love and make enormous sacrifices for each other.

The series around them is slow-moving, delicate, and provides lots of fascinating mysteries to solve and puzzles to unravel, and also provides a cast of enjoyable misfits. The characters I ship may or may not be team moms / team dads. Magic or science fictional elements are nice but not an absolute requirement.
