I think the PS1 games really captured the zeitgeist of the Discworld series better than anything else ever.

Yes! I had a PC version with Rincewind trying to find Death and it really captured the world and series.
The adaptations are all a bit meh but I'm hoping for Good Omens to be better, given Gaiman's excitement about it. Perhaps a longer series rather than a miniseries might let the detail of the book show through in a way Going Postal didn't?
