Cate Blanchett has smouldering chemistry with everyone one and every thing.

(Anonymous) 2018-11-19 11:41 pm (UTC)(link)
Cate is a perpetual hunk of metallic sodium in that way, a divine burning bush that sets many bushes burning.

Hell, agreed.

Yup. And she makes even a not so great movie good just by being in it.

Agreed. She's amazing and I will watch her in even the most terrible of movies. Her presence makes everything better.

Not at all. She's done some terrible movies and she's not helping there.

(Anonymous) 2018-11-20 12:38 am (UTC)(link)
Agreed!

Why are they so pasty and uncanny valley looking?

At a guess: a combination of pancake makeup, overly blue indoor lighting, and digital photography?

The lights on them do not really fit the lighting of the scene behind them. They may be shopped in, but I think it's just questionable lighting design.

Galadriel and Nacho?

I always end up shipping characters in a friendship over canon ships. Friendships are just written more believably - most romantic relationships in fiction fall into the "He was a boy. She was a girl. Can I make it any more obvious?" trope.

Hey, that's what shipping's all about-
I haven't watched this yet, but I know with those two actors, they have enough charisma between the two of them to make scientists jealous of their chemistry.

Jack Black looks better with that facial hair. I'm...ENJOYING this look on him. ;)
