Why does every damn blog on tumblr now demand logging in? I could read all of them a few days ago just fine without an account.

I think Tumblr changed a lot of blogs to NSFW. That is prob why.

Huh. Must be a pretty strict definition of NSFW. As far as I remember, only one of those blogs posted nudity (and rarely).

I think they're finally sort of making a half assed attempt to deal with the large numbers of obnoxious porn and other bots that people have been complaining about for years

the tumblr app is being nixed for inappropriate content (porn bots) and the staff is going hog wild deleting and flagging a shitload of blogs as nsfw, even ones that don't post nsfw stuff.

Because they're evil, and rather than deal with the harassment problems, the user interface problems, the spam problems, the forced advertising problems, and the readability problems, they're cracking down on "adult" blogs so they can squeak through the Apple store.
