No, I'm not misremembering. That kind of thing isn't pervasive in the books the way it is in GOT. The rest of the books are definitely more teen, especially once you get out of Dragonflight and Dragonquest. There isn't a lot of sex, and unless it's a mating flight, the sex isn't necessary for the plot. It's easy enough to strip it out and have a family-friendly movie.

I think there is somewhat of a sliding scale of "suitable for teens" and "GoT" but that may just be me=

I never said there wasn't. But I maintain that the Pern books would make better teen movies than GOT ones. They're dated but that material isn't really the essence of the books. That's dragons.
