You may want to look into (fan)translations of Chinese webnovels, specifically in the transmigration genre. They often have main characters who, after originally living in the present day world, get transported into historical/fantasy worlds. In a lot of cases, those are based on novels/video games etc. that the MCs watched/read/played in their original life and have a fair amount of insider knowledge of, they often get seriously overpowered skills and in quite a few cases, use their modern world knowledge to their advantage as well. They of course tend to get all the love interest, too.
They exist in m/f, m/m and f/f flavours.
