My thoughts exactly! You live up to your name, psyche. Now, I AM a whofan, so bear with me: I was thinking Paul Giamatti for Basil and Hugh Jackman or David Tennant for Henry Wotton?

Am also massive Whofan, and have been sitting here thinking about this for a good while now. I don't know Giamatti's work very well, but a quick Google made me wonder. I see Basil as somewhat more.. waiflike- the idea of the intellectual-effete: Tim Roth during 'Rosencrantz and Guildenstern are Dead',for example.
Wotton is difficult though, because he has to be charming and very much a man's man, insidious and immoral. If anything, Giamatti is possibly more suited to this role of the two. As for Tennant, he can do corrupting and grief-stricken artist, I suppose.
