My fandom makes it really easy to write both magical and non magical AUs. I'm more interested in magical AUs, but most people write non-magical AUs or ones where magic is incidental. It seems like most of the people who write magical AUs are worse writers, but maybe that's just because writing coffee shop AUs is less challenging to do well.

because very few people want to take the time to create a system of magic for someone else's property.

or maybe OP reads more magic!AU so they don't filter out the not so good ones.
