Same here, I watched the entire series when I was a kid and I'm wondering how I somehow managed to miss that fact.

They were. IIRC they only really changed the age of Frosta to 11 in the remake.



Meaning She-Ra was always 16~.

I actually never realized until this secret that they were supposed to be teens in the 80s version (you can probably tell I never watched more than a handful of episodes). Or I guess maybe I thought it was some sort of Shazam type thing where the magic aged them into a fully adult warrior. I might have thought Prince Adam and Princess Adora were teens (but, older teens, like 18), but i always thought He-Man and She-Ra were adults.
