What is everyone doing this weekend?

I am going to drink some wine tonight and hope I am over my wine aversion. Saturday I will just be shopping. Hopefully, Sunday I can find a recipe for a sweet yeasted bread to make.

I definitely need to clean and do laundry, and there's a bit of computer work I need to catch up on at some point but there's not any real deadline so I might put that off for a bit.

Other than that, just hanging out and being lazy...wasting time on the internet, playing dumb games on my phone, watching TV, listening to podcasts and reading, mainly.

The best part if the lazy part. What podcasts are you listening to?

Unfortunately there are only two right now because I'm really picky, both true crime. One is True Crime Garage and there's only one two part episode that I haven't listened to yet. The other is True Crime All The Time, which I am relatively new to so there are a whole bunch of episodes I haven't heard yet. There are others I've listened to and didn't like, and a couple that I have no interest in based on things I've heard about them. And several that I've downloaded episodes of on Stitcher that I will try out eventually.

Baking, oddly. I'm sitting on a lot of expired youghurt so I'll probably be doing some kind of sweet stuff. I found a recipe for scones with yoghurt and now I kind of want to make clotted cream like the idiot I am.

I'll also be putting up a new ceiling lamp in my bedroom tomorrow, which should prove an interesting exercise in meddling with the electrics.

Oooh, that sounds nice! I love making scones (especially cranberry).

Make sure to turn off all the power in your house. D:

I need to decide whether I can stand the Saturday crowd and go to the bookstore for that comics I want to buy now, or if I'd rather wait until Monday.
There's a march protesting violences against women and I will psych myself up to go.
I might reward myself with a nice burger and a beer afterwards.

Then I think I'll spend my Sunday holed up and work on my NaNo?

Is that a local march or nationwide? I usually keep an eye on the major marches and was not aware of one tomorrow.

This is the last weekend I have to pack up the basement! New carpet installation begins on Monday. The only things I have left to do are to empty my sock/underwear drawers and clear off the counters in my room, and unhook and pack away all my game systems from the tv.

Finally, I will have carpet under my feet again! No more concrete! No more carpet tacks! No more tracking blood over the concrete because of carpet tacks!

Next weekend: Unpacking the basement.

Woot to no more having your basement look like a murder scene! Hopefully the carpet doesn't take too long to install.

The next owners of this house will have inherited a blood curse. I have made sure of it.

It's supposed to take about three days, but I don't think they realize just how much LARGE furniture my mother's collected. No one needs this many hutches, and, yet, here we are.

Getting psych evals, hiking, finishing assignments for work, applying for jobs.

That is a busy weekend! What is the weather like in your area?

Pretty good, actually! It's a bit cooler than it usually is, hence why I'm going hiking (It's a spot I've hiked before, but there's been times when heat+exhaustion = throwing up, so I'd like to go when I don't have the sun beating on me.)

Not entirely sure. My dad broke his hip and will be in the hospital for at least a week. My mom is having surgery on Monday. So probably just getting ready to have the house to myself for a while. Making sure everything is ready. My sister will head home tomorrow morning. I'm still recovering and not allowed to drive or do much of anything.

Oh dear, do you have someone who can get you food and such if you need it? Your family is having a terrible time this week!

We've got a ton of leftovers, and my sister and I are going to go to the store in a few minutes to pick up a few things. I shouldn't be going out, but she wouldn't know what to get and my mom can't. So whatever.

I'm so sorry to hear it ended up being that serious.

I honestly forgot today was Friday and thought it was Saturday, so I'm not sure. I did all my errands today. Maybe I'll just finishing watching Hill House and work on my fic.

How far into Hill House are you? I loved it. What kind of fic are you writing?

I'm on episode six and I'm really enjoying it. I didn't expect it to give me so many feels. I'm working on a Supernatural AU and I'm getting kinda lazy with it because another plot bunny got my attention, but my friend looked it over for me and gave me some good ideas on where I can take the story, so I'm a little more motivated now.

Having family over for Thanksgiving (we went to a restaurant) has inspired me to get my act together about doing more "settling in" in the house I bought a few months ago. I got to the point where most of the stuff I needed for daily life was unpacked, set up, and accessible, and then stalled out because daily life was always happening. I haven't put up any art on the walls or unpacked all of my clothes and books or done a lot of other stuff. Today I already assembled a piece of furniture that had been just sitting there since I moved in and put away some more clothes and kitchen stuff. I have some closet shelves that need painting so I can get my storage situation better organized so I hope to do a bunch of that this weekend. I'm going to get some art up as well, or at least make more of a plan. I have a lot of stuff that needs custom framing and I can't afford that all at once, so it will be a process, but there's no reasdon I can't make a plan and get some of the framed stuff up.

Also, go to the gym and bake something.

My parents and I saw Wreck-It Ralph 2: Ralph Breaks the Internet in theatres tonight after I got off of work.

Tomorrow, I plan to do nothing, which I'm so excited for I can't even. It's supposed to be ridiculously cold and otherwise nasty here tomorrow, so I'm glad I don't have to leave the house and can just chill at home, doing whatever I please.

Sunday, my parents and I are going to see Superman in theatres for its 40th anniversary. I'm also trying to grab a few things at Wal*Mart to make a care package for a homeless person that a local tattoo artist in my area is willing to donate + raffle off a $300 tattoo to one participant. But if it doesn't happen, it doesn't happen. I just think it's nice to give back and it would be nice to win a $300 tattoo because that would make a great Christmas present for my best friend.

Oh that sounds like a fun weekend for you are your parents!

Not sure what you mean about the raffle? The tattoo place is raffling off a tattoo to raise money for him?
