Super-late, but i 100 percent agree with Mickey/Ian being endgame is the fucking best thing *ever*.
Though I'm actually liking where Lip and Carl both are, and even Liam is growing up to be a good kid.

I'm so over Fiona, though, holy gods, and was over Frank from about episode three. Debbie pissed me off for a while but now i'm really enjoying her arc.

Kev and V are kinda...i really love them as a couple, but some of the stuff going on with them is tending a bit toward farce. And I miss Svetlana.

Out of curiosity, is there a specific point in the series where Fiona really starts to become unsympathetic? Because having seen the first three seasons, I love Fiona. Like, for me she's tragically heroic in a small scale way, and my heart just breaks for her all the damn time. Which is why I've been hesitant to keep watching into the later seasons. Because I don't want to stop liking Fiona, and it sounds like there comes a point in the show where she stops being sympathetic. (?)

DA

Season 4. I won't spoil it for you but that's what did it for me.

I think it depends? I know some people are still loving her a lot, and I do still *like* her, I just wish she'd stop being quite so.... I dunno.

I disagree with some choices she's made and how she kind of goes all-in on some stuff that's a little questionable.

She still has a good heart, and is still a good person. I think if you really like her, you'll continue to like her, not in a 'justify everything' stan sort of way but 'sympathize and feel for her' way. I just get impatient. I would say - go for it.

OK, good to know. Thanks for answering. :)

I used to love everyone (but Frank and Monica) until the family dynamic changed and the kids weren't doing everything they could to keep the family together.

I was disappointed with what the writers did to them. I think the charm of the early seasons was that no matter how fucked up things were, they made it work. When the kids turned into their parents I was not here for it. I've only been watching the Mickey and Ian scenes since.

Yeah, I get where you're coming from. I think they're still about family (I mean, last ep of last season, they're all sitting down to breakfast together, you know?), they just realized that they get to prioritize their own lives over 'family' sometimes. Basically, they're growing up and taking charge of their lives like adults do, which is fine.

I still see that family dynamic, to me it's just not quite as codependent/frantic/all or nothing as it was.
