129 - usually it's not because you know more about the source material but because you look down on the adaptation and its fans. *shrug*

132 - I loved her in the beginning. But I like her much less ever since the Soul Society arc. Plus, I was disappointed when it turned out that she was supposed to be beautiful. What. I liked her as small and weird-looking, not petite and darkly beautiful.

173 - as for the pairing, prepare yourself for disappointment. But I suppose she won't have her heart broken (much). (Disclaimer: I don't support either AltoxRanka or AltoxSheryl. I just know Macross and can see where the triangle this is going. Unless they decide to subvert even this. :D)

179 - then... stay there? O_o I don't see how fandom is forcing you.

This is one of the reasons I'm glad I'm only passingly familiar with the earlier series: I can get some of the jokes and still be COMPLETELY SURPRISED when certain characters oh, say, get stabbed by Vajra. >_>;; I plan on watching them after Frontier's over.

(I adore Ranka, but I really just want both girls to be friends in the end more than I want either to wind up with Alto.)

Yeah. >_>;; I saw it coming, but it was still sad. But yeah, watch the other series by all means! And then watch Frontier again. :D

(My dream Macross F pairing would be SherylxRanka. Not that it's ever going to happen...)

173: I hope you're right! I just don't want to see Alto/Ranka. XD I haven't seen all the Macross series myself (only seen the original, II (which I guess doesn't really count) and am currently on Zero) so I don't really know what they'll do either~ ^^~
