Oh yeah, it's not even necessarily a sexual thing. I just like being tied. Or tying up someone else. I would get a similar thrill from going to the dentist or the doctor. I even enjoy getting blood taken. I can't explain why.

Of course, now that I'm grown up, seeing a naked dude tied up/tortured turns me on about 11 times as much as an untied naked dude. Go figure.

I've heard a theory for foot fetishism that suggests the area in the brain that codes [actually, now I forget, the sensation in your feet?] is right next to the area that codes the sensation in your genitals, so foot fetishism could be explained by brain activity during sexual arousal kind of spreading into the area dealing with feet. [This theory may not be scientifically sound, BTW.] But I wonder if something similar could be happening with rope bondage.

Because, like I said, it's not just you -- I've heard and read accounts of maybe a dozen people who say the same thing.

Yeah, well, feets are very sensitive, so I can understand the fetish (I personally hate having my feet touched and find it completely unsexy, but to each her own, you know?) I don't understand bondage fetishism anymore than you do, I just live it. When I was little, I used to have this fantasy that I was captured by a giant spider that would tie me up very tightly in its web. I would add to the fantasy by wrapping myself up very tightly in a blanket. I also remember that as kids we would play capture and tie up games all the time. It seemed like everybody wanted to be the one being chased and no one wanted to be the chaser. Which is interesting. It seems like most people who have fetishes are on the masochistic side. We want to be captured and have the fetish performed on us. It's weird. Although like I said, I love the idea of tying sexy men up. Or seeing them tied up and raeped by other sexy men. I think fetishes are like being gay or straight. You're born with them and they never really change. It's in the DNA somewhere. It's a physical thing more than a psychological thing. The sensation of rope/chains against the skin, being held in place just FEELS good.
