I don't mind the pairing, I think it's cute even though I read Sans as a teenager/young adult first vs middle-age Toriel so I had to get through that hurdle in my own head (note: lots of whispering to myself that monsters are essentially immortal so age is just a concept past a certain point). But yes, urgh, the 'canon shippers' are always the worst, no matter which fandom.

But also wtf is that needle thing, holy shit that sounds horrifying. I don't think an entire section of fandom should be judged on one crazy thing one of their ranks did, but dear lord that's insane.

The needle cookie incident was, indeed, horrifying. The reason Soriel shippers gets lumped in with that is because, when this got posted to Tumblr, plenty of them spoke out in support of this because the artist drew Frisk/Sans.
