The developers don't even seem to have good coding practices if she and Ralph can get in there without fucking everything up to high hell to begin with prior to the climax, let alone having a character "put her code in the game" , but whatever, it's a family movie that conceptualizes the internet for the masses, I should really just relax.

It's Tron fairytale logic, where it makes perfect sense for characters from games that run on 1980s ROMs to jump into the internet from a router via an ageing AC line.

Given that one of the games referenced is Saint's Row, I'm not sure she'd be that out of place.

Gamers love it when developers break the fourth wall with references, except when they don't.

I love how she gets a car painted with candy and skulls.
