I don't know what force is responsible for creating bakers named Ruby on GBBO but Lord am I thankful for it

I'm sick of people to hate/be outraged/disgusted ect with JK Rowling and in the same secret or comment talk about they just saw her last film or bought her last book in a way that gives her all the revenue. Like. Just step away. Be critical sure but don't pay her first. Jings.

Hard disagree.

You can be critical of something but still consume or enjoy it. You have every right to watch, read, or listen to something you disagree with so that you may fully understand and form your own individual opinion.

Also, I just generally don't like seeing people chastised for how they spend their disposable income as it relates to entertainment. I realize rebuttals to my argument might be: "Wait until you can rent the movie from Netflix, why not just borrow the book from the library, etc.," but there's something to be said for the internet's short attention span and social relevance.

I mean, I respect your opinion. I get what you're saying & understand where you're coming from. It's just that, ultimately, I disagree.

I think Lorraine Pascal,from Holiday Baking Champions would the perfect lesbian dominatrix (coming from a lesbian)

I know that it is very much canon, at least in the games, that Pokemon hunt and eat other Pokemon. But because they're at least semi-sentient the idea grosses me out so in my head I pretend it's this Zootopia world where maybe they used to do that but not anymore. Secret because I'm too old to be bothered by something like this.

I've been too afraid to watch the newest season of Bojack Horseman, a show I used to adore, because of the focus on Diane And Mr. Peanutbutter's divorce. I am too painfully reminded of my own. I tried to watch it and then cried so much I was late for work.

Bojack is honestly one of the most brutal shows out there when it comes to making the audience confront their own failings, struggles, and issues. Cartoon animal world maybe takes the edge off slightly...but in some ways that just makes the show's emotional impact sneakier.

I really want the Game Grumps and The McElroy brothers to guest on each other's shows. I know it will likely never happen, but I still have fun daydreaming about it And how their humor would mix or clash and who would get along best

Julian Bashir was my fav character on DS9 when I first watched the show. Rewatching it now with my gf (her first time) and we both find him incredibly arrogant, annoying and creepy. We're still in the early seasons and iirc, he gets better, but I can't believe I used to fangirl him so hard. (Still ship Bashir/Garak though!)

He was really creepy in the early seasons, wasn't he? And I like Garak/Bashir a lot, though I also like Bashir/O'Brian.

I'm brand new into DS9 (only at the end of the third season right now) & struggling so much with Bashir's character. I want to like him, partially because I enjoy the way he interacts with Garak and O'Brien, but the way he acts with women... Jesus Christ. It's so awful. It's like he's intended to be the ideal self-insert for all those nice-guy nerds out there.

At least I had some warning for it, though -- I originally started getting into it by catching a marathon of a couple random episodes on TV a couple months ago, since I'm a fan of the original + Discovery so I figured I might as well give it a shot? And the first episode I saw was a lot of fun, despite me not knowing what the hell was going on, but the next one was about Bashir takes advantage of some comatose patient of his and... Yikes doesn't cover it. Can't say it didn't prepare me for him.

I rewatched it a few months ago and liked him more than the first time. He's arrogant and can be annoying, but he's far from creepy like I remember. I think because he has a few traits that are usually associated with Nice Guys, I projected a lot of assumptions about him being a Nice Guy when really he's not. A man who has bad luck with women and is sad about it does not automatically a creep or Nice Guy make.

there are definitely some characters I used to love when I was younger who I'd look back at years later and wonder what the hell I was thinking.

I've been watching Father Brown on Netflix and find myself into Father Brown/Flambeau. Not for the foeyay, mind you. They both have a mutual respect, enjoy each others' company on their various adventures, and light up (!) whenever the other one has outsmarted them. That is EXACTLY what I look for in a ship. I am totally going to hell. (I'm so glad there's fic!)

I’ve been going through a rough patch with my partner, and so reading smutty fanfic has mostly replaced sex for me. Sometimes really hot smut just makes me depressed though, and can even make me cry, because no one wants me like that anymore.

I started writing comments on fanfiction I like because I read that authors liked it. But it's got me kind of addicted now to getting replies from the authors. Recently I've caught myself thinking I won't bother to comment if I see the author never replies to comments.
